Greetings, I am helima and I make unusual and unique hats as well as other accessories for those who like all things fae inspired or whatever inspiration takes me at the time . I prefer all kinds of fairy,pixie and elf hats, and often I will make festival and speciality hats. Unfortunately I am not able to take commissions at this time as I am pretty much full to the brim with making the hats and commissions I have already, if any time in the future I am able to find enough time for more commissions I will let you know via a message on this my lovely new page.
My inspirations are all things fae, elf, and magickal sometimes I will make hats with a distinct pagan, wiccan, natural, mother earth theme for example I had a commission for a Beltane hat which I really enjoyed making, and I intend on making others.
so I hope for a day of good blessings for everyone and keep checking I am constantly working on a new hat and no copies are ever made each hat is unique so once it's gone it's gone,

SOLD a mid length elf hat, with waterfall edging around face, knitted in speciality purple wool with tiny sparkle threads, decorated with hand felted merino wool hearts and four leaf clover charm and tiny crystal to top front and end of elf hat tail, elasticated around head will fit many sizes from teen to adult to even large adult head as the wool is soft and has a lot of stretch.
This was a unique batch of wool and I only had enough for two hats so there is this one and part of another using it and that's all!
All my hats are unique, none copied and all my own patterns used.

Ariadne is a soft warm slouch hat designed with success in mind! it features a runic symbol on the top in hand felted and delicate beaded design plus six hand felted leaves decorate the lower top in matching green merino wool again featuring delicate beading and including preciosa crystal cabachons in blue, six is the feng shui lucky number for money so coupled with the rune symbol for success and the green for growth this hat should bring the wearer good luck and growth in their success and money!
this hat should fit anyone from 8 years to teen to small adult it has an elasticated edge but probably wouldn't fit a large adult
Arienne
this gorgeous hat is named Arrienne from the celtic name meaning silvery and/ or moon child which i chose because of the beautiful colours of the speciality wool i used. It faded through various muted colours with a slight sparkle, consisting of misty blue, faded lilac, pale forest green and was just beautiful.
As always with all my creations it is entirely my own design,-copyrighted 2015 Changeling- and took me four days to make from knitting the first stitch to hand sewing on the last of my hand felted hearts.
These hearts were hand felted by myself, i used a mixture of merino wool in pale blue, along with hand dyed ethically sourced natural sheeps locks in a wonderful lilac through pink, and a tiny bit of angelina a specialist fusible fibre in a sparkle cobalt, and so not only are they beautiful but each heart unique in its mix and made only to go with this hood. The hood is a long length as can be seen here in the pictures, it is modelled by my beautiful oldest daughter who is twenty and tall, just over six feet, so you can see how long it is on her and so will be quite long on anyone shorter!
i have to say of all my designs i have made this is definitely now my new favorite i love it, the pictures dont do it justice, the first to see it in its real daylight colours would buy immediately, not only is it decorated with the hand felted hearts but also i accented each stripe of the speciality wool -which is a one off batch of hand dyed wool no longer available-with my own hand crocheted lace edge which i crocheted directly on to the hat itself.
This beautiful piece is then lined with deep purple velvet like material and to the front you can see on each side is three long strands one black, one edged with the crocheted lace i made in a beautiful black and shiny metallic mix, and a ribbon which is finished with one of the hand felted hearts.
The hood is amazingly warm and does carry some weight as it is meant for cold weather, now you can look gorgeous and still be warm in this unique and beautiful elf style hood
As with all my creations only one ever made once its gone its gone!

ARIENNe WRIST WARMERS.
these beautiful wrist warmers were originally to match the hood but while the hood will fit many sizes due to its style these wrist warmers have turned out to be a skinny fit, they are only really for those up to the age of twelve perhaps thirteen, but they must have small hands and thin wrists because of this they are offered seperately and at a reduced price
Made from the same lovely soft black wool as the hood and with the same lovely speciality wool these are gorgeous wrist warmers and warm, pretty and functional! finished with black lace and preciosa crystals they really are a pretty item and yet functional- how often are stuck we have to choose pretty or warm now we can have it all we can look beautiful and be lovely and warm, finally a boon for those of us northern faes who live in colder climates! a must for any small fae!

A beautiful unique pair of wrist warmers, victorian influenced with lots of detail, I knitted the wrist warmer and then I crocheted the edgings I then added an embroidered lace butterfly and matching lace and hand stitched on tiny beads and tiny silk flowers, taking just over two days to make I then finished them by adding by hand individual genuine swarovski crystals these wrist warmers and warm, functional, and above all beautiful, the wool is soft and a pale pastel mint green the edging i made is soft cream mohair wool and altogether they will make any woman feel like a princess a comfortable fitting for most adults and a gorgeous look for all women!

Midnight Sun.
A truly amazing hat that is more a work of art than a hat, named 'Midnight Sun' this took just over four days to make from starting crochet to last finishing touch. Completely unique design this was begun last week with a small idea i had of wanting to take my hats in a more artistic direction knowing that would make me more satisfied and i knew i would enjoy the whole process of hat making more this way plus i knew i had in my head the idea of wanting to do some kind of sky scene but not just a landscape. Then this came to me a mixing of midnight sky lit up by an abstract sun which then silvered the edges of the clouds casting vivid colours. I first sketched the design and was so excited i put away another project i was working on so i could devote myself to this and i loved it, starting from the sketch i then began with some lovley deep blue mohair to crochet the basic skeleton of the hat and then when i was happy with the shape i got out my whole stash of felting wools, and it took me three days building up each layer until i had the sky and clouds the way i wanted them. It takes a long time because i use a tiny sliver of felting wool in each colour, laying just a single sliver at a time and then dry hand felting with just a single felting needle - for me it is the only way of getting the amount of detail i want and the right layering of colours i want. From there i then felted a sun and felted tiny slivers of the sky over the sun to look like the dark clouds were slipping past the midnight sun, i loved it so far but it was not finished i knew i had to add more and i did with delicate traces of beading which i hand sewed each tiny bead individually throughout the design and i couched by hand a speciality thread i have in black with shiny metal in tiny flecks weaving this through the felting layers and then to finish i lined the inside with some beautiful emerald green satin. All in all i was so happy with the finished product i wanted to keep it for myself and i have promised myself something similar which i will make one day!

EYE IN THE SKY
My latest piece of wearable art now finished and looking superb, i am so in love with this it took a lot to put it up for sale,
it took ten days from very first stitch to last hand sewn bead, a true labour of love,
i actually started this project with the eye itself. I love to do embroidery and i fancied making an eye as i was sewing each tiny stitch of the eye it came to me how glorious it would look on a felted hat that had swirls of lilac and sky blue and its obvious name would then be eye in the sky and so as soon as i finished stitching the eye i then crocheted a basic skeleton of the hat shape i wanted and then began felting in tiny slivers of many different types from merino to silk tops to hand dyed mulberry natural sheeps wool, on top of a few layers of all these i then felted into it a layer of angelina sparkle cobalt which just added that perfect touch to my sky and i then placed my eye and continued felting in three more layers of slivers of all the different wools then i hand sewed tiny beads including genuine swarovski and preciosa along with genuine rose quartz crystal, genuine amethyst crystals and genuine jade chips, the finished product is lined with nude satin and i am very proud of and it looks stunning in the light the sun catches the sparkle and it is sucha wonderful and unique art work you can wear.

This is a beautiful Victorian inspired collar handmade with love and great attention to detail, using a lovely soft satin in french beige as the base to which a genuine vintage lace in ecru was added, then more lace added as a delicate second layer and adorned with tiny beads including two genuine tigers eye beads and lace flowers edge the centre ribbon and in the middle of each flower is a beautiful crystal and droplet crystals hang from the centre ribbon, these lead to the main central piece of a Victorian inspired broach surrounded by delicate lace in pale cream, the fastening at the back is similar to a necklace fastening thus giving a little leeway as to fit and the collar itself is a generous medium fit, perfect for roleplay, Victorian costume,cosplay,goth, anime,beautiful and romantic the arabelle collar will compliment your costume perfectly.
